SUNSARI: Three people, including a father and his young son, died in a motorcycle accident on the Chatara–Kanchi Chowk Road section of Ramdhuni Municipality-7 in Sunsari district, while two others sustained serious injuries.

The accident occurred last night when a motorcycle (Ko 33 Pa 9605) heading from Chatara–Kanchi Chowk towards Kalabanjar collided head-on with another motorcycle (Province 1–02–056 Pa 5864) coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as 34-year-old Inarchan Chaudhary, his 9-year-old son Pranish, and the other motorcycle rider, 51-year-old Bindu Yadav.

According to the District Police Office, all the injured were rushed to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, where they died during treatment.

Inarchan Chaudhary’s 32-year-old wife, Pratiksha, and 36-year-old Ramesh Chaudhary of Itahari-7, who was riding with Bindu Yadav, sustained severe injuries. They are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital in Dharan.
