KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Federal Parliament’s National Assembly is scheduled to convene today at 1:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar.
In today’s session, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will lead a clause-wise discussion on the ‘Finance Bill, 2082’ and the ‘Public Debt Management Bill, 2082,’ both of which were received from the House of Representatives with messages.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, there is a likely agenda to pass these bills and return them to the House of Representatives.
Additionally, five parliamentary committees will hold meetings today. The Finance Committee will discuss proposed amendments to the ‘Bank and Financial Institutions Act, 2073’ with the members who registered the amendment proposals.
Similarly, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will deliberate on the ‘Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Bill, 2081.’
The Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee is set to discuss the ‘Nepal Bar Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081’ in consultation with the Nepal Bar Council. The Women and Social Affairs Committee will discuss the committee’s activities and functions.
The Infrastructure Development Committee will discuss the ‘Electricity Bill, 2080,’ the ‘Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081,’ and the ‘Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Project.’
