KATHMANDU: Nepal national team midfielder Laken Limbu has signed with Cambodia’s top division club Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC, announced Monday.
Raised in Singapore, Limbu started his professional career in Nepal, quickly joining the national team and playing internationally for two years.
He scored in AFC qualifiers and won the Emerging Player of the Season award.
He has played for Nepalese clubs like Three Star and Machhindra, as well as India’s Delhi FC. Limbu expressed excitement about bringing his experience to Cambodia.
Last season, Kirivong finished 10th in the league, which has no relegation system.
