KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has reshuffled five joint secretaries, including high-level appointments at the Department of Immigration and the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Immigration Office.

Ram Chandra Tiwari has been appointed as the new Director General of the Department of Immigration, replacing Bishnu Prasad Koirala, who has been recalled to the ministry.

Narahari Ghimire has been posted as the new Chief of the TIA Immigration Office. He previously served as the Chief District Officer (CDO) of Khotang and had also worked as the spokesperson for the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Govinda Prasad Rijal has been brought into the Home Ministry to fill the vacancy created by Tiwari’s transfer.

In a related move, joint secretary Kalpana Shrestha has been transferred to Khotang as the new CDO.
