KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has launched the ‘Hello Griha Call Center’ to collect grievances, complaints, and suggestions related to its jurisdiction.

The Ministry stated that the call center has been established under the Grievance Management Section with the aim of making service delivery more effective, transparent, and swift.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry, the general public can register their grievances, complaints, and suggestions through the toll-free number 1112, email ([email protected]), mobile and WhatsApp number (9851360603), and via a QR code.

Ananda Kafle, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, informed that arrangements have been made to register all types of grievances regarding services provided by agencies under the Ministry through the call center.

Complaints can also be lodged if services provided by District Administration Offices are ineffective, if service seekers’ grievances are neglected, or if there is unnecessary delay.

Similarly, the Ministry stated that information can be shared through the call center if police stations refuse to register a First Information Report (FIR), if there are issues in investigations or service delivery, or if there are concerns and grievances regarding security matters.

Furthermore, arrangements have been made to directly complain to the Ministry if any individual or group demands money promising to get government work done, move files forward, or expedite services.

The Ministry emphasized that citizens’ information will be treated as a crucial basis to control such illegal activities.
