KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML Secretariat is scheduled to convene today to finalize preparations for the party’s upcoming statute convention.

According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s Publicity Department, the meeting will take place at 1 PM at the party’s central office in Chyasal.

The agenda includes discussions and decisions related to the overall preparation for the statute convention.

A draft of the proposed amendments to the party statute will be presented at today’s meeting.

Vice-Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, who was earlier entrusted with preparing the amendment proposal, will table the draft before the Secretariat.

In addition, the meeting will review key documents to be presented at the convention, including the political report by Chairman KP Sharma Oli and the organizational report by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.
