LALITPUR: The Secretariat meeting of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has begun at the party headquarters in Chyasal.

According to UML Office Secretary Dr. Bhisma Adhikari, the meeting started about an hour later than scheduled.
The meeting is discussing preparations for the party’s second Statute General Convention.

UML is making necessary preparations to hold the Statute General Convention in Godawari, Lalitpur, from Bhadra 20 to 22 (September 5–7, 2025).

Additionally, to prepare for the convention, the UML has scheduled a Politburo meeting on Shrawan 2 (July 18) and a Central Committee meeting on Shrawan 5 (July 21).
