KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) is set to convene its Standing Committee meeting today at the party headquarters in Paris Danda.

According to Vice Chair and Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota, the agenda for the meeting was finalized on Wednesday.

Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will brief the committee on the current political situation.

The meeting will also discuss the resumption of the hill district campaign that had stalled in Pokhara, set a date for the Central Committee meeting, and deliberate on expanding and activating the Socialist Front.

Other key topics include strengthening organizational unity and furthering internal consolidation and development within the party.
