KATHMANDU:Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has warned that the future of the party is at risk of collapsing if the current generation of youths (Gen-Z) is not connected with the Nepali Congress.
He expressed the view that if Congress becomes weak, democracy itself will be weakened. Koirala clearly stated that the Nepali people cannot survive without democracy.
Stressing that only a strong Congress can safeguard democracy, Koirala emphasized the need to bring the Gen-Z generation into the party to strengthen Congress.
While addressing a felicitation program organized by the Nepali Congress Biratnagar Metropolitan Ward No. 4 Committee to honor active senior citizens, Koirala highlighted the importance of making youths understand Congress’s role in ensuring democratic stability and the country’s development.
Noting that today’s youths are disenchanted with politics, Koirala remarked that the primary challenge now is to transform this disillusionment into attraction towards politics.
