KATHMANDU: Dhawal Shamsher Rana, General Secretary of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has called on party Chairman Rajendra Lingden to rectify recent actions that violate party rules and harm party unity.
In a letter sent on Sunday, Rana accused Lingden of arbitrarily advancing decisions without following party bylaws, including disciplinary actions and expulsions of party leaders without providing opportunities for explanation.
Rana condemned these moves as unfortunate and contrary to democratic norms and the party’s interests.
Furthermore, Rana condemned the physical attack on youth leader and provincial assembly candidate Raju Gaire by Lingden’s personal secretary, describing it as regrettable and unacceptable.
Rana urged an immediate meeting of the Central Executive Committee to address these issues and stressed the need for inclusive, transparent party processes and adherence to democratic principles to maintain party unity.
