Hetauda: Indra Bahadur Baniya, leader of the Nepali Congress Bagmati Provincial Parliamentary Party, has officially staked his claim for the post of Chief Minister.

Bagmati Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota had on Monday called for claims to be submitted for the appointment of a new Chief Minister as per Article 168(2) of the Constitution.

Shortly after the Province Chief’s call, Baniya submitted his claim for the position.

Baniya has submitted his claim on behalf of the ruling coalition, comprising the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.
