KATHMANDU: Dr. Govinda KC, who began a hunger strike three days ago demanding reforms in medical education, has ended his fast.
The protest took place at the planned Shahid Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences in Geta, Kailali.
Dr. KC broke his fast at 2 PM on Tuesday by drinking juice offered by 52-year-old Pritim Chaudhary from Kanchanpur, after experiencing health issues.
Previously known for undertaking indefinite hunger strikes, Dr. KC had announced this as his 23rd strike, setting a three-day duration for the protest in Geta.
