KATHMANDU: Former Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kulman Ghising, has extended his support to the Gen Z protest being organized today at Maitighar Mandala against corruption, privilege, and entrenched generational wealth.

In a Facebook post, Ghising said Nepal’s future lies on the shoulders of its energetic and visionary youth.“This campaign represents the voice, dreams, and determination of Nepali youth.

Your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment are the real strength that will lead the nation towards prosperity, equality, and sustainable development,” he wrote.

He stressed that if youth, citizens, and leadership stand together, they can build a brighter Nepal—one that creates opportunities, fosters innovation, and allows every young Nepali to contribute with pride to national development.

Wishing success to all young people taking part in today’s demonstration, Ghising added, “You are not only the future of this country but also its key partners in the present, and in the truest sense, the strongest force in nation-building.”
