KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices in Nepal surged to unprecedented levels on Tuesday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold jumped by Rs 3,100 per tola from Monday, reaching Rs 214,700 per tola.
On Monday, gold was traded at Rs 211,600 per tola. Silver also recorded a new high, increasing by Rs 40 per tola.
The precious metal, which was priced at Rs 2,475 per tola on Monday, climbed to Rs 2,515 per tola on Tuesday. The rise in prices reflects growing domestic demand and fluctuations in the international bullion market, impacting traders and consumers across the country.
