KATHMANDU: Nepal’s U-17 football team is set to face Bangladesh today at 7:15 pm in a crucial SAFF Championship match at the Colombo Racecourse Sports Complex.
A victory for Nepal would guarantee them a spot in the semifinals as the top team in Group A.
The team is confident after their dominant 2-0 win over Sri Lanka in their opening match, with both goals coming from Samir Kumar.
This is Bangladesh’s first game of the tournament. The championship features seven nations.
Group B includes India, Maldives, Pakistan, and Bhutan, with the top two teams from each group set to advance to the knockout stage.
