KATHMANDU: Transport Minister Kulman Ghising has warned that any transport operator charging fares above the approved rates will face immediate action.

He urged passengers to report businesses that overcharge or engage in black-market ticket sales. Minister Ghising emphasized that operators should not exploit festival seasons to earn extra profit and must strictly follow legal fare regulations.

Reports of fare hikes and illegal ticketing during festivals have been frequent, and authorities have been instructed to act promptly against such violations.
