KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF) has rescued two individuals in separate river incidents in Nawalpur and Sindhupalchok.
In the first incident, APF personnel from No. 31 Battalion rescued a 62-year-old man who had jumped into the Narayani River in Gaindakot Municipality-2. The man, identified as Jhanak Prasad Poudel of Devchuli Municipality-11, was pulled out of the river using a motorboat shortly after the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment.
In a separate operation, APF personnel rescued a 23-year-old man who was stranded in the middle of the Bhote Koshi River at Larcha in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-2.
The man, identified as Sanjeev BK, was found trapped on a large rock amid strong river currents and was safely brought to shore after a swift rescue operation by the APF Border Outpost at Tatopani.
The Armed Police Force said both individuals were rescued safely in timely operations.
