KASKI: Pokhara Metropolitan City has begun clearing unauthorized structures in the Ward No. 9 bus park area as part of efforts to move forward with the long-delayed project.

Bulldozers were deployed today in the presence of Mayor Dhanraj Acharya to remove encroachments that had occupied the site for years.

The construction of the bus park had remained stalled for decades due to various obstacles. The metropolitan city has now prioritized the project and plans to proceed after clearing all illegal structures from the area.

Officials said the move is expected to speed up development work and improve traffic and transportation management in Pokhara.
