SARLAHI: Four people have died after being buried under a mound of soil in Haripurwa of Sarlahi.

According to Assistant Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Balishthar Singh, the incident occurred this morning at Hardi Khola bank in Haripurwa Municipality–1 while they were digging soil.

The deceased have been identified as 65-year-old Sayada Khatun, 6-year-old Sabiba Khatun, 8-year-old Dillu Mansur, and 9-year-old Nargis Khatun, all residents of Magarthana, Sonama Rural Municipality–6 of Mahottari district.

They were immediately rescued and taken to Provincial Hospital Malangawa, where doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival.
