KATHMANDU: On Friday morning, a Bolero jeep accident in Desikhola, Chankheli Rural Municipality–4, Humla claimed the lives of three people.
The jeep was traveling from Melcham, Chankheli–6 to the rural municipality center Piplang, en route to Surkhet, when the accident occurred.
The deceased have been identified as Basanti Budha, her daughter, and Manbir Budha from Ward 6.
Six others sustained injuries, including Kailash Sira, driver Bahadur Lama, Hamendra Rokaya, Hansa Budha, Parbati Budha, and Bimala Budha.
The injured were rescued and provided primary treatment at Piplang Health Post, with preparations underway for further treatment outside the district.
Police and local residents assisted in the rescue.
The jeep reportedly fell 300 meters down a rural dirt road.
The vehicle involved bears the registration number Karnali Province 02001 Cha 1091.
