NEPSE drops 19.43 points, closes at 2528

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 19.43 points on Tuesday, closing at 2528.16, a 0.76% decline compared to the previous day.

Among listed companies, 214 saw their share prices fall, 33 gained, and 5 remained unchanged.

The total market turnover stood at Rs 3.36 billion, with 7,488,273 shares traded across 38,627 transactions.
This is the lowest turnover in a week, continuing a four-day declining trend.

Alongside the main index, other sub-indices also fell.

The Sensitive Index dropped 4.60 points to 439.94, the Float Index decreased 1.80 points to 173.13, and the Sensitive Float Index fell 1.71 points to 149.28.

Top trading companies today included Nepal Reinsurance Company, Himalayan Reinsurance Company, and CEDB Holding Company.

Among gainers, Shivam Power and Grameen Bikash Laghubitta hit the positive circuit with a 10% rise, while Samaj Laghubitta triggered a negative circuit.
