DHANUSHA: CPN (Maoist Centre) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the need to amend the constitution to address the demands of the “Gen Z movement” and to hold the House of Representatives elections on time.
Speaking at a party event in Dhanusha on Wednesday, Prachanda said the country is currently facing a complex situation and that timely elections are the only solution.
He noted that the Maoist party has long been advocating for a directly elected executive, a fully proportional electoral system, and inclusive democracy — principles that, he said, align with the sentiments of the Gen Z movement.
“Those who oppose a directly elected executive, a fully proportional electoral system, and inclusive democracy cannot understand the feelings of Gen Z,” Prachanda remarked.
He also urged young people involved in the Gen Z movement to distinguish between their friends and adversaries, and stressed the importance of unity among all leftist and communist forces within the country.
