SOLUKHUMBU: Three women were killed in a jeep accident in Mapya Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality–3, Baku, on Thursday.

According to police, the jeep plunged about 500 meters down a slope. The bodies of three women were recovered from the scene, but the exact number of passengers in the vehicle has not yet been confirmed.

Police said the driver was found in a state where he was unable to speak, making it difficult to verify how many people were onboard.

The identities of the deceased have also not been established. The jeep was reportedly heading toward Mahakulung in Solukhumbu, leading police to believe that both the victims and injured were from the same area.

Rescue teams have sent the injured to Sotang Hospital. A police team from Baku immediately began rescue operations, and another team led by an inspector has been dispatched from Sotang, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Manojit Kunwar of Solukhumbu District Police Office.
