KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 5.19 points on Sunday, the first trading day after the Tihar festival, closing at 2,509.04 points.
Total turnover stood at Rs 2.661 billion, slightly lower than the last trading day before Tihar on October 20, which recorded Rs 2.791 billion in transactions.
Today, 98 companies’ share prices increased, 146 decreased, and 4 remained unchanged.
Among the 13 sub-groups, four recorded gains: Life Insurance (+0.61%), Manufacturing & Processing (+0.02%), Non-Life Insurance (+0.08%), and Others (+3.05%), while the remaining sub-groups saw declines.
The Siddhartha Bank “10.75% SBL Debenture” rose by 10%, whereas the shares of Taragaun Regency Hotel (Hyatt) fell sharply by 7.16% per share.
