KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called on all sides to treat the upcoming election as a national festival and to participate actively to ensure its success.
Extending her greetings on the occasion of the Chhath festival on Monday morning, Prime Minister Karki urged citizens to express their opinions and grievances through the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026.
“Street protests alone cannot solve all problems. If anyone has certain stands or dissatisfactions, the best way in democracy is to express them peacefully, win the hearts of the people, and seek endorsement through elections,” she said in her message.
“Therefore, I call upon everyone to take the upcoming election as a national celebration, participate wholeheartedly, and make it a success,” she added.
