Nepal Telecom launches free Wi-Fi service at all airports nationwide

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom is going to provide free Wi-Fi at all international and domestic airports across the country.

The telecom initiated this service starting Tuesday as part of its corporate social responsibility. Under this campaign, the company launched free Wi-Fi in the international terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Tuesday as a first phase.

The company has announced that this facility is available in areas including arrival, departure, VIP rooms, and waiting areas of the international airport.

A memorandum of understanding regarding the operation of this service was signed between the company’s Managing Director, Sabina Maskey, and the airport’s General Manager, Hansa Raj Pandey.

According to the agreement, Telecom will sequentially make free internet access available to the general public at the three international airports and 34 domestic airports currently operating across the country.
