KAVREPALANCHOK: The Kavrepalanchok District Court has ordered Dalit activist Khagendra Sunar to be released on Rs 50,000 bail.

The order was issued on Thursday by the bench of Judge Nagendra Kumar Kalakheti.

Sunar had appeared in court on Thursday in connection with allegations that he insulted his lawyer, Manisha Gautam, and posted offensive content on social media.

Gautam had filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau, accusing Sunar of using abusive language in a Facebook post and during a live social media session.

Sunar’s name had previously been recommended for inclusion during the last Cabinet expansion.

However, it was removed from the final list following the emergence of this case.
