KATHMANDU: The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ held a rally and demonstration in Kathmandu on Thursday, demanding the formation of an all-party interim government.

The party stated that the rally aims to inform the public about its stance on political developments following the Gen Z movement.

The rally reached Bhrikuti Mandap where it was transformed into a public assembly.

General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ is scheduled to address the gathering.

Biplav’s party did not join yesterday’s merger of 10 leftist parties.

Last week, he officially registered his party with the Election Commission to participate in the upcoming elections, signaling that his faction will remain independent of the newly formed alliance.
