KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions and Sudurpaschim Royals are competing in today’s first match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) second edition underway in the federal capital, Kathmandu, today.

Sudurpaschim chose bowling after winning the toss at the TU International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur.

Sudurapaschim under the captaincy of Deependra Singh Airee is aiming to reach near play-off by securing fourth consecutive win.

Sudurpaschim is on the top position in the score board with six points by securing wins in all three matches earlier.

Lumbini led by Rohit Kumar Paudel has also aimed to end the winning streak of Sudurpaschim.

Lumbini is in the sixth position in the score board with only one win so far.

Likewise, Janakpur Bolts and Pokhara Avengers are vying in the second match to be held at 4.00 pm today.
