KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that all sides should join hands together to address the country’s national issues.
The PM said so after receiving a memorandum from a delegation led by Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday.
“We all sides should unite on the national issues. We had several disputes. Also, we witnessed a massive loss,” the Prime Minister’s press coordinator Ram Bahadur Rawal quoted the PM as saying.
The PM said that we need to move ahead by safeguarding the achievements made in the country instead of creating new challenges.
“Let’s go to the people by taking the agendas if there are discontents. And, implement (those agendas) after being approved by the people,” PM Karki suggested.
On the occasion, the PM said that impunity was not acceptable for this government. “The innocent children are killed on the roads. The recommendations of the probe commission on this issue would be implemented,” PM Karki added.
The PM said that the government was working to control the trend of massive election spending and urged the RPP and all other parties to practice austerity in elections.
