NRNA delegation meets Foreign Minister Sharma

KATHMANDU: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) held a meeting with Foreign Minister Balananda Sharma on the preparation of its 12th General Convention and International Conference.

A delegation led by NRNA President Dr Badri KC reached the Foreign Ministry and briefed him about the progress made so far regarding the 12th General Convention and International Conference.

The delegation also enquired about the progress regarding formation of main organising committee for the convention.

It is said that diaspora division of the Ministry has been working in this regard. There is a provision of forming a high-level organising committee under the chairmanship of the Foreign Minister for NRNA’s convention.

On the occasion, Vice-president Dr Hem Raj Sharma shared that the 12th General Convention was going to be held after the broader unity.

He pointed out that the Ministry and the NRNA should make further revision on the draft of the bill to amend the laws related to NRNA prepared by the Foreign Ministry.

NRNA Treasurer Sujan Thapa and CEO Rajendra Kumar Raut were present on the occasion.
