NC President Thapa calls for party unity

DHANUSHA: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has asked the party cadres to enhance organizational structure to build public trust.

Speaking at a special meeting of the party’s Madhesh Province Committee and candidates of the House of Representatives (HoR) elections in Janakpurdham on Friday, President Thapa underscored that unity, discipline and active engagement are the core strengths of the party.
“There are no faction in the Nepali Congress. We should advance being united,” he stated.

He also said that the NC leadership was taking advice from immediate past President of the Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Thapa mentioned that the NC would address the challenges facing Madhesh Province.

President Thapa stressed the importance of resolving internal rifts ahead of the upcoming HoR elections and working towards a common purpose. He urged NC’s HoR candidates to engage closely with the community, prioritize development initiatives and good governance, and effectively execute the party’s strategies and policies.

During the event, Madhesh Province Committee President of NC, Krishna Prasad Yadav, emphasized the necessity of linking the party’s organization to the public issues.
