NRB publishes foreign exchange rates for Monday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the official foreign exchange rates for today (Monday), setting the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 145.28 and the selling rate at Rs 145.88.

According to the central bank, the Euro has been fixed at Rs 171.16 and Rs 171.87, the UK Pound Sterling at Rs 195.89 and Rs 196.70, and the Swiss Franc at Rs 187.25 and Rs 188.03 for buying and selling, respectively. Likewise, the Australian Dollar stands at Rs 102.91 and Rs 103.33, the Canadian Dollar at Rs 106.19 and Rs 106.63, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 114.68 and Rs 115.16.

The Japanese Yen (10 units) has been set at Rs 9.37 and Rs 9.41, the Chinese Yuan at Rs 21.03 and Rs 21.12, the Saudi Arabian Riyal at Rs 38.73 and Rs 38.89, and the Qatari Riyal at Rs 39.86 and Rs 40.02. Similarly, the Thai Baht has been fixed at Rs 4.68 and Rs 4.70, the UAE Dirham at Rs 39.55 and Rs 39.72, the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 37.22 and Rs 37.38, the South Korean Won (100 units) at Rs 10.05 and Rs 10.09, the Swedish Krona at Rs 16.04 and Rs 16.10, and the Danish Krone at Rs 22.91 and Rs 23.01.

The Hong Kong Dollar has been set at Rs 18.59 and Rs 18.67, the Kuwaiti Dinar at Rs 475.63 and Rs 477.59, the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 385.31 and Rs 386.90, and the Omani Riyal at Rs 377.84 and Rs 379.40, while the buying rate for Indian Rupees (INR 100) has been fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

The central bank said the rates may be revised at any time as required and noted that rates set by commercial banks may differ, with updated official rates available on its website.
