RPP’s Shahi maintains lead with double votes in Jumla

SURKHET: In Jumla, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate Gyan Bahadur Shahi (Gyanendra) has maintained his lead with more than double the votes of his nearest rival. Out of 3,963 votes counted so far, Shahi has secured 2,102 votes.

His closest competitor, Naresh Bhandari of the CPN, has received 972 votes. Shahi is currently ahead of Bhandari by 1,130 votes.

Deep Bahadur Shahi of the Nepali Congress has obtained 496 votes, while Shantilal Mahat of CPN-UML has received 212 votes. Binita Kathayat of Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured 29 votes, and Birkha Bahadur Rawat of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party has received 28 votes.

Similarly, Ranil Bikram Shahi of Nepal Janata Party has received 2 votes, Manrishi Dhital of Prajatantrik Loktantrik Party has secured 3 votes, Birkha Bahadur Shahi of CPN (Maoist) has received 1 vote, and independent candidate Bhakta Bahadur Rawal has also received 1 vote.
