KATHMANDU: Vote counting is ongoing in various parts of the country under the House of Representatives election. According to the latest update, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading in the highest number of constituencies.
According to the Election Commission, one candidate each from the RSP and the Nepali Congress has been declared elected in the latest results. Ranju Neupane of the RSP won from Kathmandu Constituency No. 1 with 15,455 votes.
Similarly, the Nepali Congress began its victory tally from Mustang, where Yogesh Gauchan Thakali won the election. He secured 3,307 votes, while his closest rival Indradhara Dadu Bista of CPN (UML) received 1,806 votes.
According to the Election Commission, 81 RSP candidates are currently leading in different constituencies. Likewise, six candidates from the Nepali Congress are leading, while 8 candidates each from UML and the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) are also ahead.
Similarly, one candidate each from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, the Shram Sanskriti Party, and an independent candidate are also maintaining leads in their respective constituencies.
