Proportional representation vote count reaches 8.3 million

KATHMANDU: Vote counting under the proportional representation (PR) system for the House of Representatives has reached 8,382,984 ballots, according to the Election Commission.

The Rashtriya Swatantra Party is leading the tally with 4,050,753 votes. The Nepali Congress has secured 1,361,431 votes, followed by CPN (UML) with 1,151,256 votes and the Nepali Communist Party with 592,410 votes.

The Shram Sanskriti Party has received 292,063 votes, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has obtained 277,013 votes. Vote counting under the PR system is still ongoing.
