KATHMANDU: In the Prime Minister Cup One-Day Men’s National Cricket Tournament, APF Club has set Bagmati Province a victory target of 272 runs.
In the match underway at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground in Mulpani, APF, who were sent in to bat first after losing the toss, posted a total of 271 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Aasif Sheikh was the top scorer for APF with 114 runs, hitting 14 fours and three sixes. Sandeep Jora contributed a valuable 52, while Lokesh Bam added 29, Yuvraj Khatri an unbeaten 26, and captain Rohit Paudel chipped in with nine.
For Bagmati, Rijan Dhakal claimed four wickets, Ishan Pandey took two, and Sandeep Lamichhane and Sonu Devkota picked up one wicket each.
The tournament features 10 teams – three departmental sides, Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and Nepal APF Club – along with all seven provinces. The winning team will receive Rs 1 million and the runners-up Rs 500,000.
