KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) president Rabi Lamichhane’s case has taken a new turn, as the petition challenging the decision to amend and withdraw charges against him will now be heard by a full bench of the Supreme Court of Nepal.

The case was initially heard by a joint bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman. Following arguments, the bench ordered that the matter be referred to a full bench for further hearing, according to the court administration.

Former Attorney General Sabita Bhandari Baral had earlier decided to withdraw charges of money laundering and organized crime filed against Lamichhane. Challenging that decision, separate writ petitions were filed at the Supreme Court by Yubaraj Paudel, senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi, and advocate Abhas Regmi.
