KATHMANDU: Details of the secretariat of Prime Minister Balen Shah have been made public, revealing a 25-member team supporting the prime minister’s office.

According to the disclosed information, only four members serve in the advisory team. The advisers include Chief Advisor Kumar Byanjankar, Political Advisor Asim Shah, Policy, Administration and Good Governance Advisor Sudip Dhakal, and ICT Advisor Bibek Mishra.

The prime minister has also formed a 10-member personal secretariat led by Chief Personal Secretary Subash Sharma, with Nabin Bhandari serving as Personal Secretary.

Other members of the personal secretariat include Sanjiv Pandey (Personal Joint Secretary for Development Projects), Prakriti Dhakal and Bishal Adhikari (Personal Under-Secretaries), Surendra Bajagain, Binay Shakya (Section Officer and Photographer), Amrit Pandey (Section Officer and Press Facilitator), Anup Thapa Magar (Computer Assistant and Videographer), and Rishi Thapa (Administrative Assistant).

Similarly, the private secretariat comprises 11 officials, including Joint Secretary Pradeep Pariyar and Under-Secretary Tularaj Sunuwar. Section officers include Chudamani Basyal, Ganesh Prasad Khanal, Niraj Maharjan, and Lilaraj Kafle.

Other staff members include Nutan Gautam (Non-Gazetted First Class Officer), Bhupadhwaj Rai, Rajkrishna Maharjan, Balram Khadka, and Dinesh Shrestha.

The disclosure provides a clearer picture of the structure and staffing of the prime minister’s secretariat, highlighting a relatively small advisory team within a broader administrative support system.
