KATHMANDU: Lok Bahadur Bishwakarma, the central president of the ad hoc committee of the Nepal Dalit Association, has resigned from his position on Monday.
In his resignation letter, Bishwakarma cited personal health issues and family problems as the reasons for stepping down, stating that he was unable to fulfill his current responsibilities. He expressed gratitude to the then president for entrusting him with the role, following the decision of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the then party president for appointing me as the central president of the Nepal Dalit Association as per the decision of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee,” he wrote. “However, due to my personal health condition and family circumstances, I have submitted my resignation from this responsibility.”
Bishwakarma had been appointed as the central president of the association on July 26, 2023 (10 Shrawan 2080 BS) by the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee.
