Nepal ‘A’ sets 278-run target for Scotland in Tri-Series Practice Match

KATHMANDU: Nepal A national cricket team has set a 278-run target for Scotland national cricket team in the triangular one-day practice tournament that began on Thursday.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground, Nepal ‘A’ posted 277 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 50 overs.

Dev Khanal top-scored for Nepal with 63 runs off 65 balls, hitting six fours and a six. Opener Mayan Yadav contributed 45 runs, while captain Anil Kumar Sah added 18.

Sundeep Jora scored 34 runs, Pawan Sarraf made 31, and Narayan Joshi chipped in with eight runs. Deepak Dumre remained unbeaten on 23.

For Scotland, Bradley Currie and Safyaan Sharif claimed two wickets each, while Oliver Davidson, Brandon McMullen, Jack Jarvis and Mark Watt took one wicket apiece.

Scotland are currently batting in reply.
