KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has said there is a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some parts of the country this afternoon.

The hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Tarai region will witness partly cloudy conditions.

According to the division, a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, as well as one or two places in the remaining provinces, may receive light rain with thunder and lightning.Tonight, skies will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy weather.

There is also a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, along with snowfall in a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province and in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces, including the Tarai areas of Koshi Province.
