KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in different parts of the country until Tuesday.
According to the Division, Nepal is currently under the influence of western winds, local winds, and a low-pressure system near the eastern region, along with a partial impact of a low-pressure line in the upper atmosphere over central and eastern parts of the country.
On Sunday night, moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, on Monday, chances of moderate rain with thunder and lightning have been forecast in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and at a few locations in the remaining provinces.
On Tuesday, rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, and in a few places across other hilly and mountainous regions, the Division said.
