Nepal, Norway discuss expanding cooperation in energy, education and trade

KATHMANDU: Signe Brudeset, Director General of the Department for Regional Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, paid a courtesy call on Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

During the meeting, officials from both countries appreciated the outcomes of the second meeting of the Nepal-Norway Bilateral Consultation Mechanism and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussions focused on expanding cooperation in sectors of mutual interest, including energy, education, social justice, and trade.

Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to deepening diplomatic engagement and enhancing collaboration between Nepal and Norway in the coming years.
