KATHMANDU: The Government of Sri Lanka has officially introduced a free Tourist Visa (Electronic Travel Authorization – ETA) facility for nationals of 40 countries, including Nepal.
According to an announcement by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu, Nepali nationals traveling to Sri Lanka for tourism purposes are now eligible to obtain a 30-day double-entry Tourist Visa (ETA) free of charge.
This facility has come into effect from May 25, 2026.
Travelers are kindly advised to obtain their ETA prior to their arrival in Sri Lanka.
It can be processed through the official website at www.eta.gov.lk or by directly contacting the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu.
