KATHMANDU: At least six people were killed and 155 others injured in road traffic accidents reported across Nepal in the last 24 hours, according to official data released by Nepal Police today.
Lumbini Province recorded the highest number of fatalities with two deaths and 40 injuries, while Madhesh Province reported the highest number of injuries with 43 people hurt and one death.
Kathmandu Valley witnessed one death and 20 injuries, whereas Bagmati Province outside the valley recorded one fatality and 14 injuries.
Gandaki Province reported one death with no injuries. Koshi, Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces reported no fatalities, although they registered 27, 10 and one injury respectively.
Authorities said details of major accidents and affected locations are still being updated.
