KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has briefed President Ram Chandra Paudel on the upcoming budget for the next fiscal year.

On Thursday afternoon, Minister Wagle visited the President’s official residence, Shital Niwas, to brief President Paudel on the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure (budget) for the fiscal year 2026/27.

During the meeting, the Finance Minister also handed over copies of the Economic Survey 2025/26 and the Annual Performance Review of Public Enterprises, both of which have already been tabled in Parliament.

The Finance Minister is scheduled to present the government’s budget for the fiscal year 2026/27 before a joint session of Parliament tomorrow at 4:00 PM. The budget formulation process has reportedly reached its final stages.
