KATHMANDU: The District Police Range, Kathmandu, has arrested an individual for making highly provocative statements aimed at disrupting social harmony and hurting religious sentiments.

According to Nepal Police, the suspect was apprehended after issuing public threats, including statements that hurt religious sentiments.

Authorities stated that such inflammatory remarks deliberately wound religious feelings and incite communal hatred among different communities.

The arrest is part of the police administration’s ongoing efforts to maintain public peace, communal harmony, and the rule of law within the capital.
