NEW DELHI: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has begun a five-day official visit to New Delhi, holding a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening party-to-party relations with India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
As part of the visit, Lamichhane on Tuesday held formal talks with BJP National President Nitin Nabin at the BJP central headquarters in New Delhi. The discussions were conducted under the BJP’s “Know BJP” initiative, which familiarizes visiting political delegations with the party’s ideological framework, governance model, and organizational structure.
The meeting marks the start of structured dialogue between the two parties, with further rounds of engagement expected during the course of the visit.
Lamichhane arrived in the Indian capital on Monday leading a high-level RSP delegation. Upon arrival, he was received with bouquets of flowers by BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh and Foreign Affairs Department Head Vijay Chauthaiwale, along with other party officials at the airport.
