KATHMANDU: The National Assembly session today adjourned after opposition parties obstructed proceedings demanding the withdrawal of controversial remarks made by Prime Minister Balendra Shah on border-related issues.

The disruption began immediately after the session started, with opposition lawmakers standing in protest and halting the agenda. Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal initially allowed time for grievances to be expressed in an effort to restore order.

As the deadlock continued, the Chairperson adjourned the meeting and rescheduled it for 12:15 PM tomorrow.
